I saw your story at http://cbs13.com/local/porsche.electric.car.2.783298.html and thought it was a great story.I do have a couple of questions. What kind of batteries are you using and who makes them? Were the batteries the greatest cost factor for your project?
Good job!!

This are the batteries: http://www.usbattery.com/usb_us8vgchcxc_golf.html They’re 8 volt lead acid golf cart batteries. No, the electrical components make up the biggest cost item.

I want to turn my 1973 914 into an electric car. I don’t know anything about how to do it. Where should I start?

Jimmy:
Great job on your 914. I’m just getting started with my 914. Your blog is very helpful and I’m sure I will go back to it as a reference while I work on my car.
Thanks for your efforts in sharing information.
